How Escapement Came to Be
Escapement opened in Khon Kaen after years spent working on watches in various capacities — first as a hobby, then as a discipline, and eventually as a full-time practice. The name refers to the component at the heart of any mechanical movement: the part that regulates everything else.
The workshop came together because there was a clear gap in the region for repair work that took older and everyday watches seriously — not just high-end pieces. Many watches arrive here with straightforward problems that have been left unattended, not because owners didn't care, but because they weren't sure where to take them.
We focus on three services: mechanical repairs involving springs and stems, cosmetic refinishing of cases and bracelets, and complete restorations for pieces that deserve a thorough overhaul. Each job is assessed individually, with a written scope provided before any work begins.

Fourteen years working with mechanical movements, with a background in both vintage and contemporary watches. Handles all movement work and assessments.
Nattawut Tangsri
Case & Finishing Specialist
Focuses on case and bracelet refinishing, applying careful techniques to achieve the finish level agreed with each owner. Works closely with Kritsada on restoration projects.
Sunisa Prachaya
Workshop Coordinator
Manages intake, documentation, and owner communication. Ensures every watch is photographed on arrival and that progress notes are shared at each stage.

Written Assessment
Every watch receives a written assessment before work begins. This outlines what was found, what is recommended, and the cost involved.
Photographic Record
Each piece is photographed on intake and at key stages of work. This protects both the owner and the workshop and supports clear communication.
Timing Verification
After movement work, timing is checked with calibrated equipment. Results are noted in the job record and available to the owner on request.
Secure Storage
Watches in the workshop are stored securely when not being worked on. High-value pieces are held in a locked cabinet separate from the general work area.
Function Check Before Return
Every repaired watch undergoes a function check before handover. We confirm winding, setting, and general operation are working as expected.
Owner Approval at Each Stage
No part is ordered and no additional work is carried out without explicit owner approval. You remain in control throughout the process.
